Controller: Paz de Ziganda Ikastola (Ermitaldea 1, 31610 Atarrabia/Villava, Spain). Contact: txapelketa@pazdezigandaxake.net.

What we use your data for: the data you send when registering (name, FIDE ID, email, phone, year of birth, gender, club; for the school tournament also date of birth, school and the name of a parent or guardian) is used only to run the tournament: pairings, standings, prizes and contacting you. If you give your FIDE ID, we take your rating, title and federation from FIDE's public rating list, through lichess.org (which publishes a copy of that list). Gender is only used for the women's prizes.

What is published: as stated in the rules, participants' name, title, federation and rating, results and games may be published (on this website, on sites such as info64.org or chess-results.com, and in the media).

Where it is stored: registrations are kept in a private spreadsheet in the organizers' Google account, accessible only to the organizers. The public list of Open players shows only name, title, federation, rating and club; the school tournament list is not published.

How long: deleted one year after the tournament, except results and standings (which are part of the tournament's history).

Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to the address above.
