With the aim of empowering and giving visibility to female chess, on the eve of the open, 2 of the best state players will play simultaneous games with us.
Participation is open to any player who wishes to face them.
We will also have a talk about educational chess that will take place at the same time as the games.
Exhibition and talk will begin on Friday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the dining room of the Ikastola and audiovisual room respectively.
The players that we will have between us playing simultaneous games will be:
- Mónica Calzetta: Grand Master of Women (WGM) whose maximum ELO has been 2386, board number 4 of the Spanish National Team, ranking 4 of Spain Female in active Women’s Champion of Spain in 7 occasions and Olympic with Spain repeatedly, among other great achievements.
- Eihartze Buiza: Female FIDE Teacher (WFM) whose maximum ELO has been 2165, ranking 1 of the Women’s Euskadi, 3rd place in the 2016 Women’s Spanish Championship 2016 U16 Women’s Spanish Champion.
The talk will be provided by:
- Amaia Iza: Ex-student of Ikastola, Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sports – Sports Management, develops projects, such as mental training through Chess and Educational Chess.
We will spend a fantastic Friday afternoon with them and we will open our mouth before the championship, enjoying this wonderful game mix of art and science, as well as a great pedagogical tool.
